With Ameriastream, you can transfer money from anywhere in the world using your phone. Your dear ones will be able to withdraw the transferred funds from an Ameriabank ATM in Armenia simply entering the eight-digit password/unique code.

1 To get cash from an ATM, the recipient needs to enter the amount, the recipient’s phone number, and the password received. Then, the recipient will get a one-time code on his/her phone, which needs to be entered on the ATM as well.

FAQ

Can I make a transfer from abroad?

With Ameriastream service, you can transfer money from anywhere in the world, entering a mobile phone number registered in the countries from the list in the “transferor’s mobile phone number” field.

How much will I have to pay for the service?

A service fee of 2% of the amount transferred will be charged from the transferor.

What is the limit for a transfer?

With a single transaction, you can transfer from AMD 1,000 to AMD 200,000. The recipient can cash out up to AMD 200,000 within 24 hours.

Can I make a transfer in foreign currency?

When making a transfer, the amount should be stated in AMD, but the transfer will be made from a card account in any currency specified by you. In the event of using a card in another currency, other charges might be applied by the issuing bank and/or depending on the exchange rates and resulting form currency exchange, in accordance with the applicable rules of international payment systems MasterCard WorldWide and VISA INTERNATIONAL and/or payment system ArCA (Armenian Card), and the client cannot make any claim to the executor in connection with such charges.

When should the recipient cash out the amount transferred?

The transfer password is valid for 48 hours.

What happens if the recipient does not cash out the amount within 48 hours?

If the amount is not received within 48 hours after the transfer, the funds will be returned to the transferor’s card account within 1-6 banking days, depending on the card type and the issuing bank

Making the transfer

To make a transfer using Ameriastream, the following data should be entered:

  • the recipient’s and transferor’s mobile phone numbers
  • the amount in AMD
  • details of the payment card
  • 3Dsecure OTP received via SMS

Receiving the transferred funds via ATM

To receive the transferred amount, the recipient needs to approach an ATM* of Ameriabank within 48 hours after the transfer, select “Cardless transactions”, then select Ameriastream and enter the following details:

  • the amount transferred
  • the recipient’s mobile phone number
  • the 8-digit password received from the transfer or
  • the 4-digit OTP sent to the mobile phone number

If the data entered are correct, you will get the transferred amount in full.


Partial withdrawal of the transferred amount is not possible, therefore, if the full amount is not entered, the encashment transaction will be rejected.

Terms and conditions

  • The transfer transaction cannot be canceled. If the transferor decides to cancel the transaction for any reason, it is necessary to avoid providing the 8-digit password received as a result of the transfer to the recipient or, if it has already been provided, the transferor shall inform the recipient that the latter should not make encashment. In such cases, the transaction will be automatically canceled 48 hours after the transfer and the funds will be returned to the transferor’s card account within 1-6 banking days, depending on the card type and the issuing bank. In case of cancellation of the transaction, the fee charged from the transferor is also refunded to the transferor’s card account in full, within the same time period.
  • If it is not possible to receive the transferred amount, the recipient may apply to the Bank by calling 010 561111 or visiting any branch. It might take up to maximum 10 business days to clarify the details of the problem transaction. Upon expiry of that period, the client can be invited to the branch to get the payment. In order to receive the funds, the client needs to visit a branch of the Bank with a personal identification document and should be able to provide the transfer password, as well as the four-digit one-time code sent to his/her mobile phone number.
  • If the transferred amount has not been cashed by the recipient as a result of a technical failure and it has not been automatically refunded to the transferor’s card account, should it be impossible to pay the amount after clarification of the problem transaction, it will be refunded to the transferor’s card account.
  • An electronic receipt is provided to the transferor upon completion of the transfer transaction.
  • A paper receipt is provided to the recipient upon encashment of the transferred amount from an ATM.
