At the Champions League Award Ceremony held within the framework of the prestigious annual international ConFEAS 2025, Ameriabank got the bronze award in Fixed Income Market nomination for its stock market activity. This is the first time ever that a company from the financial and banking sector of Armenia wins a Champions League award.
“We are honored to receive this prestigious award. It’s a regional level award for activity in the bond market and it is significant not only for Ameriabank, but also for the Armenian capital market and economy. We are confident that this award will contribute to growth of trust and interest in the Armenian capital market from both international and local investors”, - stated Diana Hakobyan, Co-Director on Brokerage and Foreign Exchange Operations at Ameriabank.
She added that the bank’s MyInvest investment platform that makes it possible to access 30+ international financial markets and 20,000+ stocks and bonds simultaneously, also contributed to the award. It enables the bank’s customers to perform numerous transactions also in the bond market, to be proactive and thereby promote higher activity at the stock exchange.
The 30th anniversary conference ConFEAS 2025 was held in Yerevan on May 30-31. It hosted around 300 leading experts representing stock exchanges, central depositories, banks, regulators, investment companies from Eurasian countries and international financial institutions.
“It makes us feel very proud that Ameriabank is the first player on the Armenian market to receive this award. I would like to mention that Ameriabank was competing with companies from Abu Dhabi, Iran, Egypt and other developed capital markets, and received the award in such heated competition”, - said Konstantin Saroyan, Secretary General of the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges.
At the Champions League award ceremony, participants receive awards in two nominations: for activity in the stock market and in fixed income market. Winners in the second nomination are selected based on such criteria as the number and volume of transactions executed by them, the number of trading days, compliance with regulatory requirements, etc. Performance on both primary and secondary markets is analyzed.
“These awards increase recognition of both the award-winning companies and the markets in general. They help us get to know each other better, fostering collaboration and interest”, - stated Radu Hanga, Board Chairman of the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the Federation of Euro-Asian Stock Exchanges.
During the conference, ConFEAS 2025 participants had the opportunity to study the latest trends, challenges and innovations currently shaping the capital markets.
