December 23, 2021 Ameriabank signed a long-term subordinated loan agreement of 15 million euros with "Triodos Investments Management" company. The said subordinated loan is considered Tier 2 capital within the framework of Basel III and is aimed at strengthening the bank's overall capital position.
"I would like to thank our partners at Triodos Investments Management for establishing cooperation between our organizations. This is our first joint deal and I am sure it is the beginning of our long cooperation. The funds provided will allow us to strengthen our capital position within the Basel III framework. This year, we have attracted more than 30 million euros in subordinated credit facilities, ensuring a strong capital position and a diversified structure, and we plan to continue expanding our loan portfolio, maintaining high capital adequacy indicators," said Artak Hanesyan, Chairman and CEO of Ameriabank.
