Member of the Management Board, Director of Corporate and Investment Banking
Gagik Sahakyan has served on Ameriabank’s Management Board since February 2012.
In 1995, Gagik graduated from Yerevan State University with a degree in Mathematics. He earned an MBA from the American University of Armenia, College of Business and Management (1995–1997). He has also completed a number of professional development programs, including executive training at Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, MA (2004) and Harvard Business School (2018).
Gagik has extensive experience as an advisor and banking executive, working with key industry players in Armenia’s economy. He played a foundational role in Ameria’s development, joining the organization in 1999 as a Senior Advisor and later serving as a Partner and Head of Management Advisory Services (1999–2012).
As a member of the team that led the Armimpexbank acquisition from inception through closing, Gagik went on to hold a number of leadership roles at Ameriabank, including Advisor (2008–2010), Corporate Banking Director (2010–2012), Member of the Management Board and Corporate Banking Director (2012–2019), and Member of the Management Board and Director of Corporate and Investment Banking (since 2019).
