ARTAK HANESYAN

Chairman of the Management Board – CEO

Artak Hanesyan has served as Ameriabank’s CEO since October 2007. In April 2008, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of Ameriabank.

Artak has more than 30 years of experience in banking and an extensive track record as a C-suite executive in Armenia’s modern banking sector. He began his career as a Loan Officer at Arminvestbank (1993–1994).

Mr. Hanesyan held a number of senior roles at Converse Bank, including CEO (2006–2007) and Deputy CEO, overseeing the Lending, Trading, and Correspondent Relations Departments (1998–2006).

Earlier in his career, he worked at the Central Bank of Armenia, serving as Head of the First Division of the Supervision Department and as Senior Specialist and Specialist in the Supervision, Regulation, and Licensing Department (1995–1998). He also headed the Basel Committee Secretariat for Armenia.

In 1995, Artak graduated from Yerevan State University’s Faculty of International Economic Relations and earned a master’s degree in Economics.
