ARCHIL GACHECHILADZE

Archil Gachechiladze has over 20 years of experience in financial services.

He has held senior and executive roles in Georgia and internationally. After working with Lehman Brothers Private Equity (2006–2008), he returned to Georgia in 2008 and joined Bank of Georgia, serving as Deputy CEO, Corporate Banking (2009–2013) and Deputy CEO, Asset and Wealth Management (2013–2017).

His subsequent roles at BGEO Group PLC include Deputy CEO, Investment Management, Group CFO, and Deputy CEO, Corporate and Investment Banking.

His experience also includes roles at Salford Equity Partners (2002–2004), the EBRD (2001–2002), and KPMG Barents (2000–2001).

Since 2019, Archil has been Executive Director and CEO of Lion Finance Group PLC and CEO of Bank of Georgia. Archil holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Tbilisi State University and an MBA with distinction from Cornell University. He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of a CFA Society in the United Kingdom.
